Founder & Executive Director
Lane is a serial entrepreneur and technologist based in Cleveland. He is the CEO of GovSoft and co-founder of Impact Pockets, the US Defense Group, and rareOS. He previously founded Creately and served as CIO at Capitol Directories.
CMRU grew out of a belief that the Midwest has the infrastructure, the talent, and the history to lead the next wave of American innovation. Lane founded CMRU as an independent organization to work across the boundaries of research, technology, policy, and community.
